ABOUT MY SERVICES:
I'm currently offering individual, couples and family counseling for adults and also for adolescents who are interested in seeking therapeutic support.

QUALIFICATIONS:
I obtained my Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Transpersonal Psychology in 1999 from John F. Kennedy University's Graduate School for Holistic Studies. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Approved Clinical Supervisor in the state of Texas, license # 63455. I've pursued a variety of mindfulness trainings and practices since 1993. 

The clients I've worked with have ranged in age from 4 to the late 70's, come from a wide variety of backgrounds, ethnicities and belief systems, and their presenting concerns have included:

  •  grief and trauma
  • depression and anxiety
  • addictions
  • chronic and terminal illness
  • care giving concerns
  • relational conflict
  • couples communication
  • parenting
  • LGBTQ concerns
  • personal and spiritual growth
  • life purpose, path, career
  • life transitions

I'm also experienced in  Crisis Intervention and Critical Incident Manager Consultations as well as Telephonic Wellness Coaching.

I've worked in a variety of settings in addition to my private practice including: The University of Texas at Austin's Counseling and Mental Health Center; Resources for Living and Aetna Employee Assistance Program;  The Children's Bereavement Center of South Texas; a community based counseling center, a crisis shelter, a long term independent living program, and  a school and residence for severely emotionally disturbed children and adolescents. 

INSURANCE:
I am currently an in-network provider for  Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and EPO (i.e. non-HMO) insurance plans. 

I can also provide you with an appropriately coded invoice if you would like to seek reimbursement through Out-of-Network benefits with an insurance plan not mentioned. 

Please check with your insurance plan if you need an explanation of your current benefits (such as co-pay or co-insurance rates, deductibles, In Network benefits, Out of Network benefits, number of sessions allowed) as plan benefits vary widely within a given insurance company's offerings.

FEES:
For my private pay clients, my regular full fee is $110.00 per 55 minute session. 

I also offer a limited number of sliding scale slots for those clients paying out of pocket for whom this fee represents a financial hardship. Please inquire about this option if you cannot afford my full fee. Also, please see ASSOCIATES, below for additional options.

Longer sessions may be available for an additional charge. 

ASSOCIATES:
I currently have an associate working in my practice under my clinical supervision, Jill Adams, MA, LPC-I.  She currently has some open appointment slots (including a limited number at a discounted rate), if you feel we might be a good fit, but are currently unable to afford my fees or we're unable to find a time to meet that works for you I encourage you to consider contacting Jill.

FORMS OF PAYMENT:
I accept cash, checks and credit cards in my office, and can provide invoices and receipts via Paypal. 

Payments are due at time of service or prior to the session.
